Your Webelos Scouts won’t want to miss this all-new overnight opportunity to study our natural world and explore Sloan’s exhibit “CSI: Crime Scene Insects.” Boys will discover all about insects, birds, and plants while working on their Naturalist Badge. Learn what owls eat for dinner by dissecting owl pellets and identifying the bones, watch bugs come alive in our “insect zoo,” and build a terrarium you will never have to water.

Wolf, Bear, Webelos, and Boy Scouts

Fun Night (NEW!)

Time: 5:00pm - 9:00am
This camp-in experience is not designed to complete an activity badge, but a chance to have fun, make new friends, and explore all of our exhibits after dark! Leaders will guide their scouts through activity stations centered throughout the museum. Order dinner in and eat in the Halfway Café. Enjoy a movie, embark on a scavenger hunt, or bring your own cards and games to play before you fall asleep. Here is your chance to get a taste of what a real “Night at the Museum” is like.

Junior Girl Scouts

Dates: Mar 11 & Mar 25, 2011
Time: 5:00pm - 9:00am
Calling all Junior Girl Scout science detectives! Spend the night at Sloan Museum and explore the exhibit, “CSI: Crime Scene Insects.” Girls will investigate clues and conduct experiments that will help them fulfill requirements toward their Science Sleuth badge. Campers will go on a crystal quest, search for simple machines, create a paper-testing lab, examine fingerprints, and more!

Brownie and Junior Girl Scouts

Fun Night
Location: Sloan Museum
Dates: Apr 1, 2011
Time: 5:00pm - 9:00am
This is no April Fool’s joke! This camp-in is not designed to complete any badge work, but a chance to have fun, make new friends, and explore all of our exhibits after dark! It is a self-guided evening where girls can take part in a variety of hands-on activities around the museum. Order dinner in and eat in the Halfway Café. Trek around at your own pace and explore all of our exhibits, including “CSI: Crime Scene Insects.” The night will feature a craft, a scavenger hunt, and a movie. Don’t forget to bring your own cards or games to play before you fall asleep. Use your “cookie money” and come join our staff for an ultimate night of fun.
